NUBiP of Ukraine - Business Perspectives continue popularizing scientific communications among Ukrainian universities
There are more than 250 universities in Ukraine and over 2,000 academic journals are published. Unfortunately, Scopus and WoS are currently indexing at most 100 of these journals, and the number of publications by Ukrainian scholars in leading international journals is negligible. Therefore, one of the Business Perspectives' main tasks is to spread the experience of creating a competitive journal and promoting it in various databases, citation and indexing systems. To this end, members of our team speak at conferences and regularly conduct seminars and trainings at the Ukrainian universities.
On March 19, 2019, such a seminar was organized at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. Serhiy Kozmenko, Professor, Business Perspectives co-founder, covered the problems of developing domestic journals, the relationship between the founder and the publisher of the journal, the main errors of editors and management of journals, adherence to the basic publication ethics principles by the journal, etc.
It should be noted that the leaders of the university's academic departments, directors of the institutes and divisions, and directly editors of the journals took the information with great interest and took an active part in a heated discussion. The organizers of the event are Viktoriya Melnik (Head of the Department of Scientific and Technical Information), Volodymyr Otchenashko (Head of the Research Department), and Serhii Kvasha (Vice-rector for Education and Research).
