Views: 2049 Downloads: 543 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯNurses are on the frontline fighting COVID-19, as they are caring for patients during the days and nights they spend at the hospital. The purpose of this study is to determine the direct impact of job satisfaction on motivation, commitment, and performance of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the roles of work motivation and employee commitment on nurse performance are also tested. The population in this study is nurses at the State Regional Hospital in Pasuruan, East Java, Indonesia, totaling 161 nurses. The sample in this study is 62 respondents. The analysis technique used in this study is path analysis. The results show that job satisfaction has a significant role to foster motivation, commitment, and performance of nurses in the hospital. Furthermore, employee commitment and work motivation are also proved to affect nurse performance. The results provide a better understanding of the approaches that can be taken to maintain nurse performance, especially during a pandemic.

The role of women entrepreneurship antecedents in supporting social and economic well-being

Views: 934 Downloads: 249 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯOne way to support sustainable development is to put concern on women empowerment. The role of women in a society is essential, yet often treated unfairly. This study focuses on looking at the aspects that can determine the success of entrepreneurship as a form of women entrepreneurship. Additionally, the effect of women entrepreneurship on social and economic well-being is also investigated. The study took a quantitative approach and employed a survey method on a total of 406 members of Setia Bhakti Wanita cooperative in Indonesia. STATA 14 statistical software was used to analyze the data. The results of this study indicate that access to micro-loans has the highest impact on women entrepreneurship (path coefficient 0.43), followed by social environment support (path coefficient 0.32), and entrepreneurial education (path coefficient 0.13). Furthermore, women entrepreneurs have a more favorable impact on economic well-being (path coefficient 0.93), as evidenced by better access to health service, than social well-being (path coefficient 0.89) that is shown from better social relationship with the nearest community. This study offers solid evidence-based recommendations for women’s empowerment in Indonesia using proper entrepreneur organization channels.

The airline industry is the sector that has grown significantly with this business model. To maintain sustainability amidst the challenge, human resources can be an investment in the organization’s material resources. Hence, this study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction and continuance of organizational commitment moderated by the tenure of employment on job performance. This study surveyed 41 flight attendants of a low-cost airline in Indonesia. The respondents were selected through convenience sampling. The data were then analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS), which is part of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The analysis results show that job satisfaction and continuance of organizational commitment have a significant effect on flight attendants’ performance. In contrast, the tenure of employment has a positive yet insignificant effect in moderating the relationship between job satisfaction and continuance of organizational commitment. The findings of this study can be a reference for airlines to manage the individual performance of flight attendants in the competitive aviation business world.

The television industry has been one that faces the challenge with the emergence of new platforms offering variety and ease of information. Hence this study aims to test the direct effect of perceived organizational support on employee creativity and the mediation role of the meaning of work. This study was conducted on Net Mediatama Television, a private television company, specifically among employees working in the content department, since this division constantly needs creativity to develop concepts and create a broadcast program. Data from 70 respondents were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed with the PLS technique. The results confirmed that perceived organizational support and meaning of work are relevant factors that directly stimulate and enhance employee creativity. The mediating role of work meaning for perceived organizational support and creativity was also proven significant. This indicates that employees who get organizational support have a strong meaning towards work so that their level of creativity increases. Based on these findings, organizations can formulate strategic steps to increase employee creativity by focusing on organizational support and meaningfulness in work.

This situation influences employees’ affective commitment and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Consequently, the purpose of this study is to investigate how affective commitment, work overload, and interpersonal conflict may impact OCB when combined with social interaction. This survey involved 61 personnel from the marketing and supply chain departments of an Indonesian state-owned enterprise. The data were analyzed using a quantitative method and partial least squares (PLS) approach. This study revealed that work overload and interpersonal conflict have a negative impact on positive behavior and actions, including OCB and affective commitment. In addition, the findings accentuate the importance of employees’ affective commitment because it directly encourages employees to take on extra responsibilities. Furthermore, social interaction does not moderate the relationship between work overload and interpersonal conflict on affective commitment. This study broadened perspectives on OCB concerning work-related stressors and provided direction for the managerial team to cope with workload and conflict in the decision-making process.
