Mediating role of employee empowerment for transformational leadership and job satisfaction
Problems and Perspectives in Management Volume 21, 2023 Issue #1 pp. 59-68
Views: 1134 Downloads: 411 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯThe study aimed to investigate the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction. In addition, it analyzes whether employee empowerment mediates the mentioned relationship. Data were collected from 228 employees of pharmaceutical companies in Jordan (Al Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries, Al Hikma Pharmaceutical Company, and Jordan Swedish Medical Products). The study employed SPSS for data analysis and hypotheses testing. The findings reveal a statistically significant impact of transformational leadership on job satisfaction, empowerment on job satisfaction, transformational leadership on empowerment, and transformational leadership on job satisfaction through empowerment in Jordanian pharmaceutical firms. Furthermore, the results showed that the beta value represents the relative importance, where the intellectual stimulation factor reached the highest level in the size of the impact on the dependent variable, and its value was 0.37 of the total impact. In contrast, inspirational stimulation was the second factor, then the idealized influence factor with 0.30, while the smallest impact size was shown by the dimension of individualized consideration with approximately 0.151. This result indicates the leader’s weak interest and respect for subordinates. The study recommended adopting transformational leadership, supporting employees by empowering them, and conducting more studies on transformational leadership and empowerment in the future.

The impact of supply chain drivers on the performance of Ministry of Health pharmacies in Jordan
Problems and Perspectives in Management Volume 21, 2023 Issue #2 pp. 439-448
Views: 601 Downloads: 247 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯFor most companies, supply chains have become the most crucial factor in their competition rather than individual competition, enabling any company to gain a competitive advantage against another organization through efficient and effective supply chain management. Supply chain drivers have become one of the most critical potential valuable access to a competitive advantage by enhancing and improving organizational performance. This study aims to explore the impact of the drivers of the supply chain on the performance of pharmacies of the Ministry of Health in Jordan. The study used the descriptive analytical approach and simple random sampling. 300 electronic questionnaires were designed via Google Sheets and sent via email and social media to employees in the Jordanian Ministry of Health pharmacies. The study retrieved 252 questionnaires valid for analysis. SPSS was employed to analyze the data and test the hypotheses. The results showed that the Beta-value is 0.849, T-value is 25.370, at a significance value of 0.000, which means that supply chain drivers affected the Ministry of Health pharmacy’s performance. The estimated regression equation means that any one-unit increase in the level of supply chain drivers will lead to an increase in Ministry of Health pharmacies’ performance by 0.789. Furthermore, the performance of the supply chain drivers was moderate, and the general performance was high. The study recommended that pharmacies focus on employing software and modern technology in inventory control.

Al-Harith M. Abu Hussien , Rashad Al Saed , Ahmad A. I. Shajrawi , Ahmad Albloush , Hussam Ali doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.21511/im.19(1).2023.03This study aims to investigate how various aspects of service quality in laptop dealer companies affect customers’ loyalty in Jordan. Data were collected from 341 Jordanian clients of dealer firms selling laptops in Jordan (HP, LG, Toshiba, Apple, Samsung, Sony, and Dell). Collected data were then analyzed; the hypotheses were assessed with the help of SPSS and structural equation modeling. The findings showed that customers’ loyalty is significantly impacted by reliability, accessibility to service, and safety. Furthermore, the value of beta represents relative importance. The dimension of safety showed the highest level in size of the impact on customers’ loyalty, and its value was 0.446 of the total impact. Next, the access to service dimension was the second factor in the impact size (0.239), and the reliability dimension demonstrated the smallest impact size with 0.146. Additionally, the findings revealed that reliability, access to service, and safety explain 52% of the variance in customers’ loyalty to purchase a laptop in Jordan. As a result, the study recommends that Jordanian laptop dealer firms consider all three service quality characteristics, particularly safety, to maintain the loyalty of their customers.

The impact of transformational leadership on enhancing organizational trust: Moderating role of empowerment
Problems and Perspectives in Management Volume 21, 2023 Issue #4 pp. 101-112
Views: 464 Downloads: 239 TO CITE АНОТАЦІЯWorker empowerment is one of the main objectives of any organization. The purpose of the current study is to examine the impact of transformational leadership on organizational trust (trust in coworkers, trust in organization management, and trust in supervisors). In addition, it examines whether workers’ empowerment moderates the mentioned impact. An analytical descriptive approach was adopted, and a survey collected relevant data. A stratified random sample included 294 department managers, branch managers, and heads of departments who work in Jordanian telecommunications companies (Zain, Orange, and Umniah). The study employed SPSS and AMOS 21 for data analysis and hypotheses testing. The paper revealed a significant impact of transformational leadership on organizational trust, except for the ideal influence and inspirational motivation dimensions. Furthermore, workers’ empowerment significantly moderates the impact of transformational leadership on organizational trust at Jordan’s telecommunications companies (Zain, Orange, and Umniah).
The study recommends improving transformational leadership methods in telecom businesses as one of the most critical administrative leadership techniques. It is vital to ensure the continuation of telecom business leaders in these companies to foster organizational trust between company workers and administrative leaders. Additionally, future studies should find new funding sources, identify practical ways to put strategies into practice for intellectual stimulation and arousal in these companies, and conduct more studies on transformational leadership, organizational trust, and empowerment.
