Gregor Kramer

Dr., Professor, Department of Banking, Finance and Accounting, Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences, Germany.

His main areas of research are banking regulation, social banking and social finance, as well as fighting money laundering and financing of terrorism.

Gregor Krämer holds the Department of Banking, Finance and Accounting at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences (Germany). Before that (2008-2009), he was Professor of Finance and Banking Regulation at WHL Wissenschaftliche Hochschule Lahr (Germany) where he also was Deputy of the Department of Finance, Banking and Control. From 1994 to 2008 he was a Research Assistant and Assistant Professor at Saarland University's Depart-ment of Banking.

He holds a diploma in Business Administration from Saarland University (Germany), a diploma in Eastern European Studies from the International Uni-versity of Turku/Åbo (Finland), a Master's degree in Management Science from Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (Ireland), and the Peoples of the Baltic diploma from The Baltic University (Sweden) and Åbo Akademi University (Finland).

In 2000 he obtained a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. oec.) from Saarland University where in 2007 he completed his habilitation and received the Venia Legendi for Busi-ness Administration. For his Ph.D. thesis he was awarded the Dr. Eduard-Martin-Prize for outstanding scientific achievement.
