Paulo Faustino
Ph.D., Porto University, Polytechnic Leiria Institute and School of Mass Media of Lisbon, Portugal.
He is the author of several scientific articles published in national and international magazines, as well as seven books in the media studies, management and marketing. Paulo has Ph.D. in Media Management, from Complutense University of Madrid. He is doing a Postdoctoral research of media industry studies, at Nova University of Lisbon (Portugal) and Media Management and Transformation Centre/Jonkonping International Business School (JIBS), Sweden. Paulo Faustino holds a MSc in Economic and Organizations Sociology, from Technique University of Lisbon and a Post Graduate and Executive Courses from: ISEG and ISLA (Portugal) and Media and Entertainment Management (University of California, Los Angeles) and Publishing Management (Stanford University - of which he is an Alumni advisor board member). He is a member of Center of Investigation of Media and Journalism (Nova University of Lisbon). His research interests are: media economics, media management, media policies and creative industries.
Paulo Faustino teaches media management, economics and marketing in Portuguese in Catholic University; Porto University, Polytechnic Leiria Institute and School of Mass Media of Lisbon. He was President Media XXI (Consulting, research & publishing company). He was director of Media XXI Magazine. At present he is editorial board member of the International Journal on Media Management and board member of the European Association of Media Management Education. Previously, he was advisor of State Secretary and Presidency Minister of the XV and XVI Constitutional Governments. Last years Paulo Faustino has been doing consulting to organizations, like World Bank, Portuguese Media Regulatory Entity, Media Companies, among others. He was also a board adviser of Lusomundo Media's Administration (Portugal Telecom's Group). Additionally, he was Vice-President of the Portuguese Press Association, President of the Communication Observatory and board member of the Center for Journalism Training (Cenjor).
