Roland Kirstein

Dr., Professor of Economics of Business and Law, Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, Germany

He holds the Professor of "Economics of Business and Law" at the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg (Germany). After he studied Economics and Law at the Saarland University, he received his doctoral degree in Economics with a thesis on "Imperfect Decision-Making Judges" in 1998. In 2004 he completed his habilitation in Economics with a collection of articles on Law and Economics and Industrial Economics. Since 2002 Prof. Kirstein taught "Law and Economics" as a visiting professor at the University of California in Santa Barbara (UCSB) and at several German universities. He was appointed by the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg as a full professor in 2006.

Preferred research areas are game theory, collective decision making, banking regulation.
